in the downloads - add-ons for 7. http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/10194/countdown.html
works fine with 7 but not so much with 8 as you might have gathered from reading back in this thread.

depending on the build with 8 there are some versions it plays well with - DON'T ask me which cause I have forgotten and never wrote it down. sad face. - but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

now try closing it and restarting 8. if it stays on you might be okay. but I recommend severe testing first. or just switch back to 7 that night.

right now it's really hit or miss for me. sometimes it works - sometimes not.
I went to make this video clip to test it and it worked just fine with tellyvisuals+countdown+png image in sampler bank.
I went to make this video clip to test it and it worked just fine with tellyvisuals+countdown+png image in sampler bank.
but after closing and re-starting it then it crashed within 30 seconds. I looked in event log and it said first virtualdj.exe, then countdown.dll, then virtualdj.exe were the faulting modules.
I would definitely call it a USE AT OWN RISK or not at all. but we use it on screens at the club so still with 7 there. then again we don't just use it for new years eve either. timed shot/ drink specials, for party countdowns, to name a few.
