Topic: Beat-Quantized Snap-Back for Slip Mode

Hey team / Atomix devs,
I’m running into a performance brick wall when scratching isolated stems in Slip Mode, and I wanted to drop a feature request that I think would benefit anyone doing live turntablism and stem manipulation.
The Problem:
Right now, slip_mode calculates playhead position continuously. The second your hand lets go of the jog wheel, VDJ immediately snaps back to where the track would have been in real-time.
That works great for basic spinbacks or backcues, but it breaks down completely when doing multi-release scratch combos on an isolated vocal stem (like Transformers, 2-click flares, or orbits):
When doing rapid fader cuts, you're constantly releasing and catching the platter in micro-bursts.
Because Slip snaps back instantly on every single release, it chops up the vocal phrase mid-scratch, destroying the natural flow of the vocal line.
The Feature Request:
Can we get a Quantized Slip / Snap-Back Delay modifier?
Instead of an instant snap-back the microsecond the jog is released, VDJ would hold the relative scratch position for a user-defined beat window (e.g., 1/4 beat, 1/2 or 1 beat) before syncing back to the master beatgrid.
How It Works in Practice:
Engage Quantized Slip on a deck (or target it specifically to stem vocal).
Execute a Transformer or Flare scratch on the vocal stem over a playing instrumental.
When you release the jog to let the vocal phrase roll out, the software gives you a 1-beat window for the phrase to complete its drop, then seamlessly snaps back to the grid.
Having this selectable via VDJScript (e.g., slip_quantize 1b or as a secondary slip modifier in settings) would give open-format and scratch DJs complete fader freedom without killing timing or ruining vocal phrasing.

I think you could do this now with slip , it acts slightly different to slip_mode. _mode is automatic on release, slip is a toggle, so you press to disengage and release to position.

whatever your jogwheel script is & slip on
then have a button with slip off

This is pretty much what the new slip_release verb (introduced for the Hercule Control T10) verb achieves.

Other than that, either keep your hand on the platter instead of doing drops (all the scratches you mentioned can be done wtih your hand staying on the platter) or don't do slip mode (use the vocal stem instead and hit a preset cue after).
