I have installed virtual dj on my new laptop using Windows 11, i am using a Denon mcx8000 controller. The problem is that it will connect although it is showing in the vdj settings.

Check the Denon ASIO drivers are installed properly. They have a habit of falling over due to previously installed redistributables.
Its an issue they haven't resolved in a decade.
