Topic: Windows 11 26h2 bug with USB audio
Is this likely to cause any issues for VDJ users?

Don't want a repeat of the Midi 2 fiasco ......

LOL

At the age of AI, where AI "finds massive security holes and patches them", big tech companies (that run such AI) tend to release software with much more bugs than before. Not only that, but these bugs are also much more severe, which makes you wonder if there's even some kind of testing in place or not..

I just installed the update and tested it with my DDJ-800. Everything worked fine for me so far.

I am definitely holding back 26H2 until I make sure the massive MIDI 1.0/2.0 thing that Microsoft is working on for next month will overwrite anything 26H2 does.

Dare I invoke Pete to comment? I'm not a presuming man, but...

Are they still messing around with it? Jeez I thought that was all over. 😮

Are we talking about the october update?
Because here is next step:

cant say more than microsoft just F up our systems for a feature that will help 2 to 3 upcoming years hardware.
and inmusic is lacking developers who can work a simple driver to fix a small coding issue.

I have not seen anything beyond maybe the addition of an app in windows that will allow us to change the API modes without having to fiddle with the registry. I think they are done with the underpinning of MIDI 2.0 for the most part or at least, where it concerns us.

I am running my Rane Four on Windows 11 26H2 & MIDI 2.0 with no issues That includes the USB drivers.
