So I have a tractor control S2 mk2 And I also have a Jam Jum J-1. I would like to map the J-1 to the sampler so that I can trigger the samples and possibly even the effects within virtual DJ. Is there anyone out there that might be able to help me with this? The J-1 has 16 pads and 8 Rotary knobs also play, stop, record and skip tracks forward and back buttons.

Yes, this should be possible as long as VirtualDJ can detect the J-1 as a controller and receive input from its pads, knobs and buttons.
The 16 pads could be mapped to trigger sampler slots, some could be assigned to FX, and the 8 rotary knobs could control sampler volume, filters, FX parameters or other functions. The play, stop, record and track navigation buttons could also be reassigned to useful VirtualDJ actions.
The first thing to check is whether the J-1 appears in Settings > Controllers and whether VirtualDJ detects a control when you press a pad or turn a knob. It does not specifically have to be MIDI; it just needs to send control messages that VirtualDJ can recognize.
Once we know how VirtualDJ sees the J-1 and what each control is sending, a proper custom mapping can be built around the way you want to use it.
