Hi y'all!
With the release of Ableton 12.4 come link audio, enabling sending audio directly over network to other devices/apps.
Is link audio something vdj will be implementing alongside the current link plugin? That'd be ace!

Those other devices/apps would also have to support that new Ableton link, no ?
To be honest while I have done something like this in the past*, I don't really see any benefit to have it built-in in a DJ software.

In the past I have used Voicemeeter with VBAN which also allows you to broadcast to multiple LAN locations, create some complex audio routings e.t.c.
It's nice to have, but too much niche, and the latency will always be an issue.
To be honest while I have done something like this in the past*, I don't really see any benefit to have it built-in in a DJ software.

Ableton specifically recommend to use wired LAN for this to avoid latency.

For me it was more a case of thinking about having Ableton on one computer with vdj on the other with seamless audio link. Or when a mate comes round for a mix and maybe two vdj setups could link directly. Obviously all can be achieved with cables, sound cards etc, Ableton link just sounded more straight forward.
