I want to move the position of the hot cues without having to delete them.
I saw it on one of the other programs, I don't remember which one, and I liked it!

set_cue is a thing since VirtualDJ 8 was released.
It does exactly what you want. It sets or updates the hot_cue position.
Oooh, and BTW:
If you enable the updateHotcueOnCueCombo setting, then you can also press the CUE button down, hold it pressed (like if it was shift), and press a hotcue button to update it's position.
This is a separate way from set_cue

shift_all_cues +<time amount>|-<time amount> is also a verb I use regularly to adjust all cues already placed in a song. This is especially for songs which may already have cues set from Serato/some other program that are correctly placed but slightly off the grid due to the encoder/decoder shift issue.
