Topic: Dj controllers doesnt work anymore
Hello,
I have the newest version of VDJ. Earlier I used the hercules dj control instinct p8. It worked perfectly. Bought the home licence to use it with vdj. Havent used it in a while and decided i wanted to pick it up again with a new controller: Numark partymix MK 2.

Now, I cant get it to work. Both the controllers doesnt work anymore. Tried everything from the help pages. Installed the drivers, tried usb 3.0 and 2.0. And everything I could find. I even reset the whole laptop and deleted everything for a fresh start.

If I connect the Numark, I dont get the message that vdj detected new controller. It does show in audio settings. In controller settings, it shows but dont have the image of the controller on the button. Weird thing is, if I go to mappings, it only shows ' ignore' and "custom mapping" (which is empty). No factory default. If I go to controller not showing, and select de Numark partymix mk2, sometimes it shows the factory default mapping, but still doesnt work. Mostly if I select it from there, there is also no factory default.

Can someone help me to get the Numark partymix mk2 to work?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you have disableBuiltInDefinitions enabled, so make sure that's set to no

Thanks for your response. I checked, but it was already set to 'no'.

Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks in advance

UPDATE / Solution

I reached out to VDJ support and they helped me very well. After research, the support guy found out that there are problems with midi input in the new Windows 11 (26H1) version.
I went back to 25H2, and everything works very good again.

I was not able to go back without re installing windows.

But everything works again.

Thanks Andres from VDJ :)

26H1 seems to be a forthcoming (April) update for Snapdragon CPU only.

It's lucky you got support when running a beta OS on an ARM processor.

I had the windows insider program. But microsoft didnt help, chat wasnt working and while calling i got a automated message that i should go to the site for support.

Eventually, I just downloaded de 25h2 iso and installed that one.

I thought it would be usefull to report back to the forum so other VDJ users are warned for 26h1 !

That why I mentioned it. I would hope there are not many Pro users here going out to gigs whilst running a beta version of Windows - and also it's far more likely that pro level controllers wouldn't run on ARM anyway.

I might sound stupid, but I thought i wasnt running on a arm processor. Will check tomorrow. I thought i had x64

Luckily, im not really a pro, just djing in my bedroom haha. I did purchase vdj pro though because i dont want the audio branding and will probably upgrade gear in the future.

My Googling when you mentioned the update was pointing to it being specifically for Snapdragon processors.

Talking of Google, apparently now there is native ASIO for Snapdragon, so maybe drivers won't be an issue.

While the public release of 26H1 is indeed only intended for ARM, the current insider build for x64 is also called 26H1
