Full compliment of 8 pads and 4 decks, certainly gives more scope for creativity compared to mk1, even if you are a "just for fun" dj [and there's nothing wrong with that].

Just bear in mind that it's twelve years old, so do your research and make sure that it will still work on your computer & OS, and know that even if it does (right now), it will be obsolete sooner rather than later.

If you can find an mk3 it will be a bit more future proof.
They are amazing controllers, but I found two week points: the USB port on the back is weak and fails despite the rest of the controller being built like a tank.
The sound card is... Glitchy? On just about every laptop I used the NS7ii with, at some point in the night a distorted buffer underun sound would develop and I'd have to reset the audio or even unplug and replug the controller.

Go for the NS7III, Better Audio, not as heavy, built like a Controller should be, and still looks fabulous
