Topic: search for Vestax VCI400 xml definion
Hello
I bought an old Vestax vci400, I'm trying to customize it for myself. The standard mapping doesn't allow doing many things (LED control), and the remote itself has bugs in the firmware that make life difficult (for example, PFL doesn't work correctly for decks C and D). I wanted to modify the XML file for this remote, but I couldn't find anything. It looks like everything is built into VDJ in one huge EXE file. Is it possible to get this XML definition for modification?

No, built in definitions are not available to the public.

Also, AFAIK everything is defined and mappable.
If something is missing let us know.

Unfortunately, I can't make an XML definition myself because the console is old and there is no information on the Internet about what MIDI commands are transmitted from it and what it can receive. I only found a service manual with schematic diagrams and boards.

I have an ERGO console that I have reconfigured for myself. All LED signals are displayed in the XML definition for it. For Vestax vci400, only a few signals are defined. For example, I can't display on the pads whether there is a sample in the slot, or make the button blink during playback. Because the button LED control is unavailable. All this creates great inconvenience in work.

I even had thoughts about completely remaking this console, leaving only the sound part and connecting my new controller to it via MIDI. But it takes a long time and is expensive.

Google never showed me this file.
The link you gave is blocked in my region, but I found it elsewhere.
Thank you very much!
