quick question, i have a rane four, when i log on do we use the latency in virtualdj or the asio setup for the rane? reason i ask is that mine keep saying not connected.

If everything is properly configured, VirtualDJ should use whatever buffer (latency) your ASIO drivers are set at.
If audio setup shows error next to the soundcard of your controller then use Windows sound panel and make sure of the following:
If you ensure the above, then there should be no ASIO errors.
If audio setup shows error next to the soundcard of your controller then use Windows sound panel and make sure of the following:
- Your controller's audio interface is NOT used as Windows default playback device
- Your controller's audio interface is NOT used as Windows default recording device
- Your controller's audio interface is NOT used as Windows default communication device
- "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" option is unchecked for your controller's playback device
- "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" option is unchecked for your controller's recording device
If you ensure the above, then there should be no ASIO errors.
