Topic: track cleaner additions
It would be great if you can make the hotcues visible and also apart from the "mute vocal" to have options of removing also other stems
thank you!

why not use the poi editor?

While everything is doable using the POI - that still is one extra step that has to be done for the track for something that could be done in the editor, and the editor's name itself (Track Cleaner) implies that some of these actions could be useful as default features in there.

I'm not sure about the benefits of cue viewing, but stem-based editing is a very useful addition.

I had a request in a long while back about expanding the Censor options to include more stem vocal based edits - some examples:

  • An echo out of vocals (maybe with rate/beatcount param)
  • Reversing the vocal only (and not the vocal + the beat, which could sound cleaner in some cases

when you have the cues visible (given that you already have marked the exact spot that you want to edit) its easier and actually faster to proceed to the mute vocal option that try to do that through the editor which i find him a bit glitchy at least for my workflow...

But you have to search through yhe song to place those cues no? Given you did that and have go back to do the edits (2 passes), you could just scrub through the track in the Track Cleaner from left to right and make the edits one time (1 pass).

I'm not going to knock the suggestion though as it's another workflow that is useful to you.

I agree that the track cleaner editor was glitchy with edits, especially if they were small, but they fixed that problem in later releases (playback in the editor however still needs the playhead to be rewound at least a bar before the edit registers).
