Topic: ISSUES WITH PIONEER DDJ-FLX10
Hi!
I have been having some issues with my DDJ-FLX10 recently.
Mainly with the BEAT FX ON/OFF Button and the Sound Color FX.
The on/off button stops working all together and also the color fx knobs and buttons this happens after I play for a while. This does not happen with serato dj pro or rekordbox which I also own.
It happens by it's self while my laptop is connected to just power and the flx 10.
It also happens IMMEDIATELY when I connect a monitor to it and I switch inputs in the monitor to switch between laptops. The same doesnt happen with serato or rekordbox.
It has been my last two parties where I lose the ability to use the onboard effects... particulary theh on/off button.

My laptop is a Macbook pro M3 pro with 1 TB, 18 gigs of ram.
mac os sequoia 15.1.1 (24B91)
Virtual DJ version v2025-m b8502

Please Help!!!

When this happens- in vdj in the controller settings in the editor, if you hit the fx on/off do you see the button command come through? Also, does the same thing happen if the laptop is not connected to power?

(Also I'm pretty sure the beatfx on the flx10 are from the software when using software channels and that it only uses the hardware fx for external sources.)

Hi thank you for replying. No I dont see it. I go into edit mapping and I press it and nothing happens. strangely enough If I shift press it shows up. I also noticed that the screens on the plates stop working, the left one shows rekordbox and the right one shows pioneer or viceversa.

That means you've most likely changed the deck selector of that deck side to be the other computer. It must match the side that the computer is connected on (A or B).

Also, the audio configuration for output shouldn't change on connection of a screen. What does your audio config look like before/after it is connected?

@interceptintercept is also correct in that the controller uses VirtualDJ's software effects for digital sources and hardware effects otherwise (Mic, line in)

See its manual.

Did you try without the laptop being connected to power? I'm wondering if there's some grounding issue. Very strange how plugging in something to your laptop seems to trigger it.
