Sounds like a memory problem or damaged OS

a memory problem with my mac?

any possible suggestions to resolve it? It’s annoying when the music shuts off for 5-10 seconds in the middle of a song. it only does it when i type in a search

Thanks in advance

If it is a crash and restart (one process spawn) given you've connected the internet on one of the subsequent startups, the Ayomix devs can probably obtain a crash report on their end - it's better to work with support or ask them directly here as they are fairly active here. You might want to see if there are any crash/diagnostics reports on your system as well.

If it's a new process spawn while an existing one is still there that is weird and it's probably better to go to support with that anyways.

Thanks so much, i believe you are spot on, it is a crash shutdown and the other one opens on its own. Sorry for my ignorance but how do i find my crash on my 2021 macbook pro?

Thanks a ton!

bad drive if a standard drive, a bad stick of ram. Software conflict or bad usb connection to your controller.

Thanks, i used a different controller last night and not 1 issue! Thanks everyone!!!

last night VDJ shut down twice, second time completely locking up the Mac, again it happened when I was typing in a search. I did use a different usb and controller. I did check my MacBook Pro crash report as was suggested earlier but there was no record. My Mac IT friend suggested I check the VDJ app diagnostics and report the result to Atomix to see if they could figure out the issue. I am using a 2021 16" M1 MacBook Pro and this is the ONLY issue Ive ever had with this unit. Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

I still think it's bad memory

This has happened to me on an older machine 2011 intel, upgraded in January to an M3 MBP and it has happened 4 times since the new install. I have resorted to shutting down the stem separation completely. I will see what happens for Tommy’s gig , hopefully no more crashes.
