Hello,
I've been using VirtualDJ on my old intel macbook pro, and on my new M2 Pro macbook pro.
The program was light as web browser. Even when using stems. I was running VDJ + windows on virtual machine with lighting program and the cpu was under 50ºC.
From few updates i feel the VDJ is reaaaally heavy.
And by that i mean, it's going 70ºC+ just with previewing songs. I didn't even use stem separations.
I didn't change any settings. The same i was using last two years.
What is going on?
Is it only me, or everybody is experiencing this?
I moved from Traktor to VDJ just because it was lighter. Now it's the opposite.
I hope this is to be known issue, and will be fixed soon?
Best regards

No issue here on Windows.
I'm using a 2019 Lenovo i7 laptop with HD video output, remote connection and DMX software. Overall CPU usage is around 2 to 4% with everything running.
This is VDJ on my Asus i9 gaming machine right now:
Can't comment on M series Mac however. Sorry.

Interesting, i just tried something.
I start previewing songs, and again it reaches 80ºC And the CPU usage was normal.
After that i stopped and start playing full songs... it went again under 50ºC.
So i guess the CPU rising only when you load songs. And if you do it fast, this is causing the hike.

Yes that's a reasonable assumption.

Do you actually mean degrees centigrade (temperature) or percentage (%)?

OP could try installing HWINFO64 to get realtime accurate figures
