New up date has stopped me using my samples on loop and I have to hold down so beats play any help would be nice

This has not changed with 2025,different trigger nodes have been there since the first release of vdj 8

Something was done to the Sampler. Not sure what but, but after i updated I hit the same sampler pad i always hit and got no response. Had to go in and redo some settings in the sampler menu. Update moved my samples around to different pads.

Yes, some users may find that samples that were once visible on the skin pads are now not.

What I've been doing is checking the XML file for each bank and ensuring that the slots for each sample are sequential, starting at zero.

can you post the content of the xml file of a bank that changed in the new version, so we can understand the problem?
(select "edit bank in browser" to show the bank in the browser, then right click on it and select "open in explorer" and locate the file with your bank name and .xml extension)

Who are you asking?

I just worked on one earlier, that didn't have slot mentioned in the XML. I've added slot="X" now, and overwritten the original - but I think it had 'row' instead.

If the xml has no slots (because it was made in vdj2024), VirtualDJ 2025 will automatically set slot=row*maxcol+col

VirtualDJ 2025 doesn't have any notion of columns or rows anymore (we keep writing col="" in the xml only for backward compatibility in case you want to revert to vdj2024 for a while).
It's only slot numbers now.

pads always have 4 columns on the skin. and the sideview depends on the available space, but can be locked to a specific number of columns in the menu.

As mentioned earlier, start the slot number at zero and count up from there (next sample slot="1" etc).

it starts from scratch. I gave access to the file via the link. I don't understand what I need to pay attention to, that's why I'm writing.

I am ready to do everything anew, but earlier when the controller was turned on, all available 64 buttons in the sampler were automatically displayed, and now the mode automatically shows 4 cells, I can set the location of 8 pads, then 16 will become available. Is it possible to add this in the menu? Or only manually in xml by replacing?
Maybe I'm don't understand something. Sorry!
