I am getting a "Failed to connect" error when trying to use the XDJ-AZ with Virtual DJ. Any help and guidance would be appreciated.

It is not yet supported hardware.

Ah, thank you for the info and saving me from additional hours or days of frustration. I'm coming from a XDJ-XZ and am not a DJ so I had no idea that the hardware would need to be supported.
Would you happen to know when the XDJ-AZ will be supported?

I can't say for certain, some cases hardware offers new software based functions that need to be beta tested for all users, that can delay things.
VDJ's hardware team are professional grade hardware testers and they have found HW bugs that manufacturers didn't find, that can delay things waiting for a FW patch.
Like I said I can't say for certain, so don't go planning any weddings or running nuclear submarines with this information but from public availability of the hardware to software support USUALLY takes 4-6 weeks.
If you keep an eye on this, it will let you know when support goes early access

The official answer is:
Yes, it's in our immediate plans to support Alpha Theta XDJ-AZ controller.
We can't and we won't provide an ETA. It will be supported when it's ready.

I did not see this device on the Virtual Dj website as supported and that is why I asked the question before I buy. Thanks to all of you for your quick responses and hopefully within a year or less this device will be supported.
