Running virtual DJ 8.2 and Livefeedback is barely updating. For example. I will play old-school hip song like hip hop horary, it will then recommend o.p.p. or poison. The problem is 5 songs later when im playing reggaeton it is still recommending o.p.p instead of updating recommendations for each new song I play? It seems to intermittently update every three to six songs , but the other night I played it didn't update all night after making its first recomdations. . .
Is there something im doing wrong? I searched the forums and could find nothing on this issue.
I was thinking maybe you have to assign It to the master deck , but I can't find that feature in 7.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also is there a way to see previous Feedback recommendations, or like a windowed view of the feedback recommendations. . . I think it is a excellent feature, especially when you have a massive library like I do.
Many Thanks,
Mike Rivera
Also Side note: I have a solid 33Mbps High speed internet connection, [with 5 bar signal strength] and internet is definitely working as I download songs I don't have while djing.

Probably shows how few people are using Livefeedback...
Personally I think a DJ shouldn't need a computerised/automated system to suggest things to play. DJs should know their music well enough to make their own decisions. :-)

Irrespective of that it's just another web based feature that can't be relied on, just like the Shazam integration and of course Content Unlimited.

As has been suggested before, I think a built in system that looks at a DJs own play history would be more useful.

I have been djing since the year 2000 , now going on 17 years ,[I started on technic 1200's then numark dj cd players , then VDJ} and have never had or used such a feature. . . .until recently when I upgraded to 8. I don't need the feature , definitely do not rely on it, especially because of how unstable it is. BUT. . . I must admist I LOVE IT. . . . especially for me since I have such a massive library, [about 100,000 songs]. It reminds me of tracks buried deep in my library , and also shows me new tracks I may have never heard of, that fit well in the current mix. Will I ever be dependent on it? . . . nope. . . But it definitely is a luxury like electric windows or heated seats on your car. . . .it would be nice if it would work. . . . I do agree with you though. . . a Good dj should not be dependent on such a feature. Similarly to the notorious sync button. . . . but we won't go there. . . either way thanks for the response. . .hopefully some will chime in with an answer.

I use it as a music discovery tool for fringe genres, gabba, breakcore, jungletek, footwork
I never use it in performance.

Note that livefeedback uses the last couple of songs to come up with recommendations, so if you switch genres it might take a few songs before a new recommendation is shown if the new genre has a lot less recommendations compared to the songs you played before.

Is it possible that live feedback stops working if in the second it tries to update there is no internet connection. Or the internet could not be reached for a split second?
And if internet is available again it won't restart working again.
At least that is what happend to me like half a year ago.
It was so crowded in the WLAN broke down for a couple of minutes, and so did the Live feedback and never came back.

Live feedback is a great feature for providing ideas. I too would like to see a modification where this feature can be applied to my local database and show me songs that i have played following the currently playing song. Effectively it would search my local history and playlists and list the songs which have been played after the currently playing song.
Or if somebody can suggest a filter folder code/syntax that i can use that would be very much appreciated
