Topic: howto: Hercules Instinct pitch paddles as SHIFT button

1. Go into the Hercules control panel, select Advanced tab and set repeat delay and frequency to 10ms each.
2. Edit the controller mapping for the instinct and insert this line for the Pitch Control

set "$shift" 1 & repeat_start "shiftloop" 20ms 1 & set "$shift" 0

Voila! Completely useless paddles are now completely useful and you have almost doubled the number of possible buttons on your controller.
