Hello,
I am learning to mix one of my favorite genre's of music called Kwaito, from South Africa.
It has been described as a hybrid of Township Jazz, Dancehall Reggae, Hip-Hop, and most noticeably,
House music. As I had fun mixing, I have also heard that Kwaito has been hard to mix from
other DJs. This was an Old School Kwaito mix that I have been working on for a while and I would
like to know how it is. The link to my mix is below and if you have any comments or tips, please share,
thank you very much!!!

ZEF mix! I see you're a Die Antwoord fan!! lol. I tried to listen but the link doesn't work. Is there a way to re-upload?
About Kwaito, it started during the late 1980s as House music was making it's way to South Africa. Hip Hop
and Reggae were already banned at this point but it didn't stop the musicians from mixing the new sounds
with Township Jazz. After apartheid, Kwaito became a soundtrack to the post apartheid era and was heard and
played on TV and radio as it had big exposure during the 1990s. Today, Kwaito is still remembered but is heading
towards the underground due to the popularity of Durban House Music.
This mix contains 8 of some of my favorite tracks of the '90s.

Here's another Kwaito mix I've made this weekend. It's called "Pantsula Playback", Pantsula, after the thief-turned dance style that has been
associated with Kwaito from it's early days to today! This mix contains 14 songs from the very early years of Kwaito (1988-1994), during the final years of the Apartheid era. Enjoy!!

Howzits! Here's another Old School Kwaito mix that I made earlier this month. It captures the mid-tempo sounds of
the early 90s, which gave Kwaito a slower sound from it's up-tempo Township Pop beginnings. Enjoy!:
