Topic: Rane System One; Pre-support thread - Page: 5
Hello everyone, does anyone know when Virtual DJ will be compatible with the Rane System One?
regards

Good morning. Any news about this ??

The controller was release in January and 5 month after, still no signs when is going to be available to work with VDJ... insane..!!!

It's a "standalone DJ system" first and foremost, which IMO is why people should be buying it - because they don't want to DJ from a computer.

Ergo anyone who bought a System One really shouldn't be stressing over why DJ software doesn't support it (yet).

My $0.02 🤐

(based on info already posted earlier, any complaining about delays should be aimed at inMusic)

I'm speculating here so take with salt
the hardware devs got hold of a sys1 and handed rane a laundry list for things they need to firmware fix to have the device do what rane thinks it can do.

It wouldn't be the first time [although it's pioneer I remember last]

@locodog that's probably it, and it's not only an Atomix problem - Staff of Algoriddim as well explicitly stated that as the reason for the delay (a requested firmware upgrade pending official support), and we already know how that went before with other Rane equipment (Rane Twelve MK2 BPM display was the same problem, and I don't know if InMusic ever released the firmware with the support for that for VirtualDJ use).

Add to that the shytstorm with InMusic drivers and the Windows updates - that could also be adding to the wait.

And also the botched Engine 5 firmware release that's been 7 weeks now without a fix.

Really glad now I ditched all their gear (apart from the very reliable Pre In-Music MCX8000 units)

The hassle of standalone really isn't worth it when VDJ just works so well.

someone has any news about this ?? Thank you.

Yeah news, it's still not here, when it's here we will say it's here - right here.
That's the news.

They want to make a race with GTA VI to see who takes longer on release it

Like Groovindj suggested. It's a standalone system. And perhaps it works perfectly without a computer. But this is not the reason I bought it. :D I liked the fact that it can do both, computer and standalone. I already own the Prime 4. No complaints on windows together with Virtual DJ eversince I changed to a Legit Asus PSU.

Just a question. I believe I red some problems for Windows midi 2.0 and inMusic. If this is the case, why is there no Rane System ONE support for Virtual DJ in Mac OS yet?

The issue with Midi 2.0 may be Windows only but is probably slowing down the dev team at InMusic who aren't particularly quick anyway. Add to that the botched Engine 5 release and who knows how long the approval will take.

Its all NDA so nobody can disclose progress, but it looks like VDJ has completed it's part.

The VDJ mapping and definition will be tested as one package so no advantage on the mac side in this case.

Ok.. thanks for clearifying.. that maybe the case..
And besides, holidays are coming.. zzzzzzz. Will take another couple of months I'm afraid.. :-(
