Topic: Denon MC 4000 controller
My computer is not detecting my Denon Mc 4000 controller, and it's blocked by Windows Security. Is there a recent update being send out to fix this problem? It was working before for many years. I've had this controller for 5 years. I have searched online and it states that there's an update being send out to fix this bug by the end of May 2026. It's affecting other controllers as well.

You can currently disable Midi2 in the VDJ settings then reboot. That should fix it for now.

That's driver signing change to finally eliminate an unsecure way to sign drivers that was created 20 years ago. Completely unrelated to MIDI, and not something my team worked on.

For the MC4000, I got the team to put in an exception for this driver while we wait to see if inMusic will re-sign that driver using a supported signing approach. That exception goes out second week of June, but if you need it now and can run a command-line tool, ping me on the Discord Server : https://aka.ms/mididiscord where I have been helping customers with this.

If you can't or don't want to join the server, then please wait for apx two more weeks for the Windows Update which will unblock that driver.
