What quality does 'Quality' refer to in pitchQuality?
According to the comments, 1 is the fastest, 2 is good, 3 is excellent, and 4 is perfect. But why do I feel like the higher I go, the sound seems to be compressed, losing some transients?

It has to do with the processing power of your computer, have you kept track of the cpu meter at quality 1 vs 4?
