Hi George. Thanks for the upload.

Using this with the new lyrics feature, if the lyrics are displayed at the bottom of the screen, when you enable this videoskin, the lyrics display higher up (clashing with the graphics).
 
I will make a small update.
Most likely I will give an option to disable vis bars as well, so that the text will have plenty of room to move there with even big fonts
 
It's not always displaying the covers either, and if I use the tag editor to change the cover, it "wakes up" and displays the previous one.

Maybe it's related to covers being from the VDJ cache rather than embedded in the file.
 
I'll have to look how you did the spooling, I thought about that for a minute but drew a blank as to how it could be done.

Yes, that would be the reason.
In order to not show the "ugly" flat color for file without covers, the skin simply checks if the file has a cover or not.
Unfortunately that query returns true only when a file has a cover embedded on the file itself.

It's done by using "old school" tricks :P
If I didn't want/need a transparent hole in the middle then it could be done with modern code as well.

Maybe after things settle down from 2026 release I will suggest a few fixes/improvements on the dev team that will allow it to be made with modern code and have the transparent hole in the middle!

It's a shame there's no way to simply have VDJ embed all the cache covers into the files in one go.

The tag editor shows the cached cover as if it's embedded, but if you click on it, there's no option to choose the cached cover. You can only pick one from online, not the one that's already cached.

Write Tag doesn't write the cover that's been cached.

I've mentioned this before. VDJ caches all those images, but we can't embed them. :-(
 
Agreed re embedding the images, been an issue for a long time now.
